Once your home feels organized and refreshed, it’s important to maintain that sense of peace throughout the year. Mine still isn’t quite there- but I’m working on it one day at a time! I was able to get through our bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and office so far. It felt great dropping off a car load to Goodwill this week.
One of the best ways to keep your home feeling tidy and balanced is by developing simple daily or weekly habits. A quick 10-minute clean-up every evening can prevent clutter from piling up and help keep your space looking its best. I try my best to get the kitchen and living room ready for the next day- the night before. I hate waking up and seeing a giant mess first thing in the morning. Take the few minutes and put stuff away the night before. I’ve started recruiting the kids each night with this, which is helping them to develop great habits too. We've recently started using the Skylight calendar which has helped a lot. The kids have chore charts that they complete and there are lists to keep the grocery order organized and not forgotten!
